It happened!
We went for our second year in a row to Rocky Point--and had a blast! Most people are terrified of crossing the border, but man. The short drive, the empty beach, the perfect water and amenities-it all makes for the most relaxing vacation ever. All of the Young family crew made it this year, and we stayed an extra day which was so worth it. Four full days was the perfect length. We started our trip with a little visit to Costco.
We left town on a Wednesday, and miss Kenedi got to ride with us. We get dibs on her, should anything ever happen to the Copples. She was so awesome. I loaded the van and we went straight to Clint's office, where the girls ransacked his office and annoyed everyone there.
The next four days we swam, played in the sand, ate junk food, played games, had lots of tacos and mangoes, rode quads, and swam some more. It was pretty fantastic.
We had two beach houses. One right on the water, one from the vantage point on the left picture, right next to the pool. Since we have two nappers still, Clint and I took turns staying with the littles while they napped. It was AMAZING. One day, I listened for them while laying in the sun on the porch. The next day when it was his turn, I took a chair to the water and baked in the sun.
Apparently I've turned into a huge sissy. I was terrified on the quad and refused to ride it after a few minutes. Took a spin on the side-by-side instead and was equally terrified. Thankfully Charly was crying and scared also, so I didn't have to make us go home. We went super slow for her. I used to love this stuff, so I'm not sure when I became such a wimp.
3 of the 4 days we were there were super humid. Every time we took our cameras out to snap pictures, the lens would fog up so bad that nothing would turn out. So it is what it is.
I love all the photo bombs in these.
From our last night:
FUZZY!
Our final morning there was a Sunday, so we spent a few minutes doing a devotional and singing songs. After we took a group shot and each headed out. It really was the best trip and I'm already looking forward to next year. We owe it all to my mom and dad. Not only did they pay for almost all of it, but they held grandbabies NONstop and took care of sick kids and made meals and played with the older kids and cleaned and seriously made the trip as fantastic as it was. We love you!!!
