Ivy's baby blessing

This cute little Miss was blessed on October 13th.
Aside from trying to name my baby Ivory instead of Ivy, Clint did such a wonderful job blessing her.  :)

IVY.  Among other things, you were blessed to:
recognize the talents your Heavenly Father has bestowed upon you
grow and strengthen those talents at a young age to benefit others
have a clear mind and stay focused on important things
realize Heavenly Father's plan for you and don't be affected by things Satan will try to distract you with
avoid temptation, and try to strengthen any weaknesses that you may have
recognize and show gratitude for your strong healthy body;
use it to help those around you
continue on the path of righteousness;
your path will be straight and clear

After church, we had a yummy lunch at Grandma Laurie's with lots of family.  Emery was her usual self:
 Our family of SIX!!!!  Whoa.
I love these two because Emery is so obviously playing Peek-a-Boo.  Stinker!
I told Clint to smile like a normal person for me.  I think he's getting better at it.

Lately

The big girls LOVE to hold their "sweet baby Ivy"
These make my heart so happy.
We took the girls to BJ and Katherine's house to ride horses and play.  So obviously Clint threw on his hat and bandana.  Had to look the part.
This big girl of mine has been my right hand lately.  She helps me so much.  She washes dishes.  She takes care of her sisters.  She is ALWAYS telling me she loves me, especially when I need to hear it the most.  I would be so lost without her.
We got to spend some very special one-on-one time together the other day, doing a little shopping at Target and getting yogurt.  She chose new undies and socks and picked out two new shirts.  I also got a new pair of boots for her.  Who knew that when little girls outgrow the toddler section, clothes triple in price?!  She melts my heart so many times a day.  I hope I always make the time to help each one of my girls feel so special and loved.
My almost two year old terror: (NO.  This is not my pantry.  Grandma's house has way cooler treats than ours.)
My super cool fort actually won me lots of brownie points with these two easy-to-please ladies.  They thoroughly enjoyed watching their show in it.  Score!
 Bug eyes.

Face Paint

Did you know you can use regular, cheap old acrylic paint on your face?  Well now you know.  And it works WAY better than the less cheap made-for-skin-face paint.  This should be fun, cuz I've got a closet full of paints!  The girls went with us to a little library carnival and this was the first and only thing they HAD to do.  So cute.

Em never sat still long enough outside of this chair for me to take an actual picture.  But I think her sweet chubby little face in this one is so cute.

Rocky Point 2013

So the Naylor side of our family has had a family reunion planned for almost a year now.  We were not supposed to go.  Lack of cash and bad timing with a new baby had made our decision for us.  But when my parents twisted our arms and paid our way?  Well.  You can't really say no to that.  Some of my cousins ended up not being able to come last minute, so we stole their rooms and had plenty of space.  We missed you Sean and Allie!
It was AMAZING.
I'm pretty sure it's our official vacation spot.
We had several condo's right on the beach.
The sand was so soft and pretty.
The water was warm.
The beach was empty.
It truly was heaven.
We could sit on the back porch and watch all the little kiddos playing.  The tide would come in and out and all the kids spent hours collecting seashells.  The resort even had a fantastic swimming pool with a kiddie area and slides for everyone.
Some rode horses on the beach.
Some ran on the beach.
Some rode quads.
Some ate lots of mango's.
Some spent way too much money on junk from the little natives selling things.
It was so fun.
It took me several days to convince Clint that he could handle missing one day of work and that the three hour drive would be worth the money we spent on gas.  After only a few hours there, he agreed that it was a perfect place to get away for the weekend.  It was so fun to see so many of my cousins that I haven't seen in so long and even more fun to see all of our kids playing so well together.  I might have taken over 300 photos.  So this could get a little long winded.
The view from our porch:
Charlotte is our early riser, and it was no different here.  She was SO excited to see our view the first morning there.

Emery actually loved the water, but for some reason this time didn't want anything to do with it.  And I LOVE the sequence!

 please note:
Emery attacking Clint
Jeff and Noah's crazy faces
The random Mexican friend who does not belong in our family on the bottom left.  Hmmm.
The girls thought this was so fun.  And I love little C's braids!  We kept Ivy inside most of the time because it was pretty windy on the beach, so she isn't in many of our pics.

And we dealt with three stops on the way home to feed Ivy, and little Em who screamed bloody murder pretty much the whole way.  So a selfie of us in our shades was a must.  Obviously.
