Princess Party

Let me preface this pitiful birthday post by saying that I am the world's worst party planner.  I'm too cheap to spend money on anything, and, well.....April kind of snuck up on me this year.  I didn't send out invites.  I didn't even invite anyone till a few days before.  I didn't have food aside from the cake that Shari brought.  I didn't have games or entertainment planned.  Ya.  It was a sad affair.  Thankfully Sage is still young enough to think the "princess party at the park" was all that and a bag of chips.  Even if no one actually dressed up like princesses except for them.  That's what happens when your mom is a lousy planner.
The morning of her birthday:
She got a scooter, a stamp set and "Stompez" (these ridiculous slippers that she has been begging us for for months.)

The PARTY:

Em being her cooperative, stinky self
and when either grandma is around, she wants NOTHING to do with me.  Traitor.
 Little C- Miss Independent

I love this running sequence of C.  She saw her friend Claire drive up and was SO happy!

 Sage and her BFF Hailee
 The Party Animals:
That little smirk on Charlotte's face happened just after she blew all of the candles out for Sage.  It was so funny and adorable.  Sage did not appreciate it.
 Gift time!

IAC Series

Back in November I signed myself up for a little Crossfit Competition.  It was a four month, once a month series, where you go up against people all over the Valley.  I signed up before I knew I was pregnant.  But once I forked over the money for it, there was no way I was backing out.  The series started in January and ended a few weekends ago.  I was really hoping to get top three in the RX division so that I could win some money, but didn't happen.  I finished 4th, which really bugs the crap out of me.  I think that if I wasn't pregnant and didn't have an injured knee I could have finished third.  I don't think KNOW I would not have taken the top two spots because the two girls that did are regional competitors and out lift me by a zillion pounds, but I'm pretty sure I could have kicked out the third place chick.  Oh well!  I'm so glad I did it.  I LOVE competitions like this and LOVE having that one Saturday a month to myself.  As in--no kids or cleaning or anything of the sort for at least part of the day.  Really.  I loved that.  Anyways-I didn't get any shots of the 1st (I think?) event, but other people took lots of the others.
EVENT TWO:
 EVENT THREE:
EVENT FOUR:
this one sucked most for me.  My knee was giving me major fits and I was just not on my game.

Easter Pictures

Because of my botched attempts at taking pics of the girls on Easter day, this past Monday we woke up, curled hair and got pretty white dresses on and headed to the park.  I should have checked the weather.  Apparently it was a mite windy that day.  The ladies did not cooperate at all, AND in my attempts at trying out the new camera, I had one of my settings WAY too high and--let's just say most of the ones I took turned out too bright.  Oh well!
 What, is this blurry?

Easter TWO

Monday night we headed to Clint's folks for another fantastic Easter dinner and egg hunt.  Kinda nice having both sides of the family so close-we are spoiled with lots of great meals/holiday parties!
