{Eastmark}

After a long morning trying to find a splash pad near our home, we ended up driving to our old stomping grounds and enjoying a few hours at this deserted slab of concrete.  Clint and I both thought it looked pretty crummy as far as splash pads go, but the girls seemed to love it.  So there ya go. We decided to test drive Clints new work truck.  It was quite the ride!  Sage sat up front with us and I couldn't get over how grown up she is starting to look.

Apparently Charlotte stole the show.  I have hardly any photos of little E!

We wore this kiddo out.

{9 months}

My sweet, perfect, happy, laid back little babe is 9 months!  She is sitting up and on the verge of crawling.  Should be any day now.  It's so exciting and yet I'm so sad!  It's hard to believe she is our last little babe.  Ivy has two bottom teeth and four top teeth, and trust me they are sharp.  She has finally started to enjoy baby food, so long as it is completely pureed.  If it has chunks at all, she gags until she vomits.  She refuses veggies unless they are homemade.  She is such a trooper with her schedule.  She refuses to sleep anywhere but her special little closet, but is always so well behaved no matter how sleepy she is.  She usually only gets one nap a day and it's almost always cut short.  I sure love this beauty.

She had her second ultra sound and VCUG, which she HATED.  We will be meeting with her surgeon soon to hear the results.  I'll be glad when it's all over.

May wrap

Went to a little Cinco de Mayo party at a friends house.  Ate lots of nachos and had fun with the pinata!
Chopped my hair!  Still debating on whether or not I like the look, but I LOVE the feel.  It's so much cooler and easier to take care of.  And been busy moving our gym to a bigger facility.  Finally all moved in and loving it.
Lots of family in town for Nick's wedding.  Always so fun to have everyone together.  Fun and CRAZY.
Memorial Day!  Spent the afternoon at BJ and Katherine's celebrating M day and Kate's 3rd birthday.  The kids had a blast.

Emery

This kid keeps me on my toes like no other!  She is such a spitfire.  She drinks my green smoothies without asking and then claims she didn't do it, despite her green stache.  She continues to rip off her diapers/pull-ups/panties during nap time and pee all over her bed.  She can throw a tantrum that would rival any kid out there.  And oh man.  She melts me.  I love her so fiercely.

The other day, I went to my room to change Ivy's diaper.  Em was in her highchair, happily eating her lunch.  She started calling out to me, saying "mom!  cheeseburgers!" over and over again.  When I went to get her, I was trying to figure out what she wanted but was having trouble.  Finally, after repeating the word "cheeseburger" over and over again, she started pulling cheese out of her nose.  Apparently she thought it would be cool to rip her piece of cheese up into tiny pieces and stuff those pieces up her nose.  And only one nostril, at that.  So an entire piece of cheese shoved up her nostril.  It was a real pain digging it all out of there.  But it was totally worth it for the laughs alone.
Thanks for keeping it real, Em.
We LOVE you.

Preschool Graduate!

High ambitions!  In case you can't read that, she wants to be a nanny when she grows up.  Well, a babysitter.  But that's a long word so for the sake of our small chalkboard, she wrote nanny.
Charlotte has done such a wonderful job with preschool this year.  Just like her big sister, she LOVES school.  Twice a week was so not enough for her.  She is working hard on her letters and numbers and will do great in kinder next year.  We sure love this little ball of spice.  She has such a quirky sense of humor and sure knows how to get what she wants.  We love you, little C.

One of the moms in our co-op group made these little posters for each student, based on what they want to be when they grow up.  Of course all the ladies wanted a picture with one.  Sage chose to be a mermaid, Charlotte is the nanny, and Emery is the vet.  So fun!
And although she swears she is never sleep and is too old for naps, she often curls up on the floor and zonks out.  It is a magical time.
She's also been busy working on her "fancy letters":

Kinder Graduate!

My sweet little Sage is moving on up to first grade.  This blows my mind!  She has started to look and act so mature lately.  It scares me and makes me excited all at the same time.  Sage LOVES school.  She has done such a wonderful job this year making friends, breaking out of her shell and learning to work hard.  She went from really struggling with numbers and letters at the beginning of the year, to reading books and writing sentences at the end of the year.  She is such a big helper and such a joy to have in our family.  Her little graduation program was super cute, albeit horribly crowded and hot.  She did a great job on her part and we are sure proud of her.
Here she is with her teacher, Mrs. Hinderland and one of her little gal pals, Ayasha.
Also something important to note about my big kid?  She is toothless!  She has now lost 4 teeth and is close to loosing her 5th.

the Temple:
 It was a beautiful day.
And freakishly hot.
Great Gma with some of the greats.
Anytime we get to watch the Larsen fam attempt a family picture, we are guaranteed a few laughs.  Watching Amber almost fall into the plants was worth the heat.

Note to self:  wear longer sleeves to cover the beef-cakes.  Holy gross.
the Luncheon:
at the church, catered by Costa Vida
the ladies put on a little show for us:
 the Reception:

 babes Reese:
 Little Fuzz
 dance moves:
this is pre-Emery throw up.  She enjoyed the candy bar a bit too much, then did one too many spins on the dance floor.  Ended up vomiting pretty heavily all over the dance floor.
